What should an Android board RFQ include?
A useful RFQ defines the application, hardware configuration, software scope, compliance market, sample plan, volume forecast and delivery terms. Complete inputs reduce quotation changes and prevent incompatible samples.
RFQ information table
| Section | Details to provide |
|---|---|
| Application | Device type, workload and operating schedule |
| Hardware | SoC target, memory, storage, displays and I/O |
| Software | OS version, drivers, launcher, kiosk and OTA |
| Environment | Temperature, enclosure, power and installation |
| Compliance | Destination and required documents |
| Commercial | Sample quantity, annual forecast, Incoterm and target date |
Which quotation details must be explicit?
The quotation should identify the model and revision, included accessories, firmware scope, MOQ, unit price basis, tooling or development fees, sample time, production lead time, warranty and payment terms.
What should not be assumed?
Do not assume that every display, modem, camera, payment module or certification is included. List the exact peripheral model and ask whether it has been tested with the offered configuration.
